Are you free’er?

Are you free’er?

IF FREEDOM IS something you are drawn to, then look to those small acts that you are putting off.  They contain freedom, but only when you pick them up and work with them.  It could be a letter to write, a chore to do, a call to make, a decision to take.  Whatever.  The common thread is: you don’t want to do it – so you put off.

This is a beautiful construction, as it brings a very practical freedom to the fore.  Imagine if resistance was not what you thought.  What if resistance was an invitation to be free’er?

These resistances are like renegade pockets of self, that hid away during the war of awakening. 🙂  When the heat is off, they reappear in the most mundane of places.

Next time that small creature known as resistance wanders through, get its attention with a tasty morsel.  Set aside any ideas you have about it, such as what it is, any history of dealing with such small creatures as this.

Hold that small creature, that feeling, within and savour its odd, unpleasant smell.  Smile if you want.  And then, strangely, DO the task at hand whilst openly feeling this so-called ‘resistance’.   As you do the task, and enjoy doing it in the face of this curious feeling, watch the feeling closely.  This little creature may be somewhat perplexed by the turn of events.

Then, set the little creature on its way, thankful for its gift of appearance.  Watch out for the next one.  They come when you call.
