What do I mean by “heart”?
In exploring the heart, what we come up against, time after time, is our own ideas and assumptions as to the meaning of ‘heart’ and ‘feeling’. These assumptions shape and constrain, effectively providing a map deemed to be real which de facto limits our inquiry. The heart knows no bounds. Any bounds that appear are bounds placed upon it through assumption.
The best way to approach this is to treat the heart as a mystery. You will know this when you have a sense of not-knowing – it is not literally “not knowing” – but more of the stance of an explorer wishing to see, and in order to see fully, not wishing to throw ideas in front of the eyes – as it were.
So, its an exciting space to be in. 🙂
